Players can create a unique character and explore the vast open world of Grand Theft Auto Online to do many activities like playing sports, performing heists, and collaborating with others. Naturally, some GTA Online gamers come across bizarre occurrences, sometimes from fellow players and often from non-playable characters. One clip shows a GTA Online NPC dancing like a ballerina due to a glitch, while another shows an in-game character deliberately causing a car crash. Similarly, another Grand Theft Auto Online player has encountered a strange and violent altercation between two non-playable characters.

Reddit user bumbum_69 is the lucky GTA Online player who saw an unnatural occurrence involving two NPCs. The user uploaded a video that shows them getting the acknowledgment message after completing a contract. The player stands at the edge of the road and waits for a few seconds when suddenly something bizarre happens. A non-playable character emerges on the edge of the screen and appears to be on fire. Soon after, the NPC is run over by a car and a second character steps out.

Shockingly, the second person from the vehicle attacks the first person, unconsciously lying on the ground, possibly dead. The car driver also catches fire from hitting the first Grand Theft Auto Online character and dies in a few seconds. The original poster did not clarify whether this bizarre NPC act was caused by a GTA Online glitch or due to the actions of another player. Meanwhile, fans posted hilarious comments, calling it a typical day in places like Blaine County, Florida, and Ohio.

Bumbum_69’s video is a prime example of the scale of randomness found in Grand Theft Auto Online. As the franchise celebrates its 25th anniversary, Rockstar is working on developing GTA 6, but moments like the one mentioned above will make GTA Online a memorable game for many. It has yet to be determined if Rockstar will shut down GTA Online servers when it finally launches GTA 6 because of the former’s enormous player base.

GTA Online is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
